Bradley Fold Garden Centre Drying Floor

We decided to install a CHP plant in 2016 to reduce the carbon footprint of our site. We burn woodchip to power a Electratherm ORC. This generates electricity for the site and the rejected heat is used to heat the Garden Centre buildings and drying floor.

We can dry 26 tonnes of wet/green shavings to under 5% moisture content in 24 hours. This involves evaporating over 16,000 liters of water out of the product. We can dry 52 tonnes of wet/green woodchip to 20% moisture content in 24 hours.

With a 14 tonne loading shovel onsite we can load a 100m3 walking floor in 25 minutes ensuring a quick turn around time.
